This research is a result of collaborative effort between Rennscot MFG and Colorado School of Mines. Rennscot MFG is proud to share the sponsored research with Brian Bailey, master’s candidate in additive manufacturing at Colorado School of Mines. This research was in support of qualifying the laser powder bed fusion process at Rennscot MFG to industry standards and requirements. The primary focus was on understanding the impact of key process variables (KPVs) on part density. Through this research, Brian was able to identify a range of process parameters that meet industry requirements. He is actively expanding this research to understand the impact of KPVs on mechanical properties. You may open or download the research presentation by clicking the link below. Thank you.
